Reeeemixxx

Yo, peeps. My name is Saikotic (or Josh if you prefer actual names) and while Mau5 It Up is a blog for new mau5y stuff, I intend to bring you both old and new mau5y stuff. :) When mau5 news pops up anywhere on his official pages, I'm going to try my best to post it here as quick as possible for you guys. :D
So, with that, my first article here is going to be an article on my personal favorite (and some of the most popular) deadmau5 remixes (up to this point).

Before we get started though, I'd like to post something quite new. This has been spotted on the official deadmau5 Facebook page and his twitter page as well.
http://wooshii.com/projects/113/create-the-official-some-chords-video/

Deadmau5 released 'Some Chords' on Beatport on the 3rd of May and we would like you to create an associated piece of video content. This brief is wide open so ideas can be as varied as you like.

It can be an animation or a filmed video.

Basically, entering this contest means you're creating your own Some Chords music video and if you're lucky...it could get picked (by Joel) to be the official Some Chords video featured on his website...and probably his myspace or wherever else it's gonna get embedded. :D

First up, remixes that the mau5 has done! Some absolutely great stuff here. :D
They're in no particular order and will have a youtube video with a little bit of history to go along with it.

Watercolor (deadmau5 Remix) - Pendulum

This is the newest remix out there (afaik anyways) and was first heard on Pete Tong's Radio 1 (as we know other mau5 tracks debut on there).

I Want You (deadmau5 Remix) - Carl Cox

This remix is much older, being at least a year old. Very very techy and bassy. Starts quiet and slowly builds its way up into itself.

I'm Not Alone (deadmau5 Remix) - Calvin Harris

This tracks chill vocals combined with the mau5 beat we all know makes for one helluva an awesome track, and if you're a DJ, it's a good drop to chill out the crowd.

Merrymaking At My Place (deadmau5 Remix) - Calvin Harris

The original track created by Calvin Harris has been remixed by a number of different artists (Oizo ring a bell?), but it's once again the deadmau5 Remix that triumphs.

Paco Di Bango's World (deadmau5 Remix) - Orlando Voorn

Possibly his best and rarest remix, this was never officially released and was only pressed on vinyl, the reason being is because it was never approved by Orlando Voorn himself. Good luck finding a good quality version of this track (luckily for me, I recently bought one of these over eBay and I am awaiting it's arrival, it should actually be here today. :D)

For now, mau5tards, I bid you adieu, and until next time. :D

  1. his best remixes are these imho:
-One Plus One - No Pressure (Deadmau5 Remix)
-Hybrid - Finished Symphony (Deadmau5 Remix)
    -Cirez D - Teaser (Deadmau5 Remix)
    -Joergensen - I don't care (Deadmau5 RMX)

First two more progressive/melodic while the last one's are more techy. All of them are strong. Really strong.
